The Skyline Eagles will face off against the Highland Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Skyline comes in on six and Highland on four.
Skyline will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating East, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Eagles claimed a resounding 53-21 win over the Leopards. Considering the Eagles have won five games by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

10/03/25 @ East | 145 |
08/22/25 @ West Field | 126 |
09/05/25 vs Juan Diego Catholic | 117 |
09/12/25 @ Uintah | 91 |
08/15/25 @ Stansbury | 90 |
Skyline relied on the efforts of Xavier Cocci, who rushed for 44 yards and four touchdowns, and Jonah Mailei, who gained 198 total yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance also gave Mailei a new career-high in rushing yards (145).
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Skyline's defense and their four sacks. In that department, Peyton Carter was the leader with two. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made ten or more in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Cash Grandon was another major factor on D, making 11 total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, while Highland put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Juan Diego Catholic. The Rams blew past the Soaring Eagle 42-0. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Rams had established a 35-point advantage.
Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Highland, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Skyline has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 308.4 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Highland, though, as they've been averaging only 149.6 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
Skyline suffered a grim 35-12 defeat to Highland when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Thankfully for the Eagles, Manasa Pela (who rushed for 142 yards and three scores on only 12 carries, and also threw for 112 yards and a pair of TDs) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
