The Bishop Badgers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 13-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Raymondville. Bishop was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Raymondville apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Raymondville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaden Mendez led the charge by rushing for 109 yards and a touchdown.
Bishop's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 5.3 points per game. As for Raymondville, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.
Bishop does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Raymondville also has no future games currently scheduled.
