Belfast hasn't had much luck against Lincoln Academy recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Lions will face off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Belfast is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Belfast made easy work of Winslow and carried off an 11-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Black Raiders: they've now won four in a row.
Jordyn MacKay made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. MacKay was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Katience Parenteau was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Maggie Metcalf was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.
Belfast always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winslow only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 10-7 to Cony.
B Lafrenaye made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That hit marked the first that she has got this season. Another player making a difference was A Starbird, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Belfast's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Lincoln Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Lincoln Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Belfast has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 strikeouts per game.
