Basketball Recap: Kadiatou Barry and Nicole Reseniz Secure Win for Cross Keys

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, Cross Keys was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Fulton Science Academy Mustangs by a score of 30-22. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Phoenix also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Leading Cross Keys to victory were Nicole Reseniz and Kadiatou Barry. Reseniz posted six points along with six steals and five assists, while Barry had six points in addition to nine rebounds and six steals. Barry has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last ten times she's played.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Cross Keys was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory got Cross Keys back to even at 6-6. As for Fulton Science Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Cross Keys wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-17 loss against Notre Dame Academy on the 12th. As for Fulton Science Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on The Stonehaven School at 5:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Fulton Science Academy's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so The Stonehaven School's offense will have their work cut out for them.
