The North Side Steers fell victim to the Southwest Raiders''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 42-0 loss at the hands of the Raiders. North Side was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Southwest apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
It was another big night for Martavious Boswell, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. Hector Martinez was another key contributor, rushing for 64 yards and a touchdown.
This is the second loss in a row for North Side and nudges their season record down to 4-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 3.0 points per game. As for Southwest, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.
North Side will take on Arlington Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southwest, they will head out on the road to face off against Polytechnic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
