Sedan is 10-0 against Oxford since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Sedan Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Oxford Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Even though Erie scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, Sedan still came out on top. Sedan walked away with a 66-55 victory over Erie.
Meanwhile, even though Argonia scored an imposing 66 points on Tuesday, Oxford still came out on top. Oxford had just enough and edged Argonia out 68-66. Given Oxford's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Argonia is ranked 310th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Oxford found their leader in underclassman Kellen Green, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Green has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cordell Jordan, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and six assists.
Sedan has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Oxford, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.
Sedan didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Oxford when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 67-61 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Oxford's Kyan Morris, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds.
