Liberty had a rough outing against Northwest Christian School last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Liberty took their contest against Davenport on Friday by a conclusive 39-14 score. That's another feather in the cap for Liberty, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Liberty started the matchup off right with 20 first-half points. Davenport countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 20-6 going into the half. Liberty put the game away in the third quarter with 12 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. The win bumped their record up to 2-3. The defeat dropped Davenport's record to 1-4.
Liberty will stay at home next week against Colfax at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. Davenport will be playing at home against Northwest Christian School at at 7:00 PM. Davenport's defense better steel itself: Northwest Christian School are averaging 32.4 points per game.
