The West County Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Ste. Genevieve on the road by a decisive 53-36 margin. West County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ste. Genevieve apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Sadie Greminger was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 20 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Staffen, who scored 13 points.
West County has fallen quite a ways from their 25-6 record last season and are now at 2-4. As for Ste. Genevieve, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.
West County will head out on the road to face off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Jefferson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. As for Ste. Genevieve, they will be playing at home against Arcadia Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
