It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Sunny Hills Lancers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 64-56 victory over Cerritos. The win was just what Sunny Hills needed coming off of a 76-55 defeat in their prior game.
Sunny Hills was led to victory by Justin Shim and Kingsley Ashley. Shim scored 12 points along with 5 steals, while Ashley dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ze Brien Watkins, who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds.
Sunny Hills' win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Cerritos, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Sunny Hills will be staying on the road on December 13th to face off against Pacifica at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th. As for Cerritos, they will challenge Kennedy at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Kennedy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 701st, while Cerritos is ranked 343rd).
