The Kiel Raiders will head out on the road to challenge the Brillion Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Kiel ended up a good deal behind Chilton and lost 45-31. Kiel has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Brillion lost to Valders at home by a decisive 60-42 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Brillion can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 341st, while Valders is ranked 102nd).
Amaya Brooks put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emma Schuh, who scored nine points.
Kiel dropped their record down to 7-14 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Brillion, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
Kiel took their win against Brillion in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 50-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kiel since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
