The University Prep Jaguars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Canyon Springs Cougars at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 University Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victor by  a  23-9 margin over the Bears.
  Carsyn Leon made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   two  hits (and only one walk). Leon was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-5 with four  RBI and a  stolen base.
 In other batting news, University Prep got a  massive  performance out of  Dani Jackman, who  went 5-for-5 with a  home run, seven  RBI,  and two  runs. Jackman has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  home run the last five times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Paityn Zimmerman, who  scored four  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Canyon Springs got themselves on the board against Moreno Valley on Friday, but Moreno Valley never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Vikings as they made off with  a  13-0 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Canyon Springs.
 University Prep is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine games,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record  this season. As for Canyon Springs, their win bumped their record up to 17-2.
