North Cross extended the longest winning streak in VISFA Old Dominion this week by beating Covenant, 46-27. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Raiders.
North Cross led the league in scoring this week after putting up 46 points on the Eagles. Evan Anderson ran for 221 yards in the win.
The Raiders' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Max Revercomb threw for 170 and two touchdowns and Jordan Lowery had 73 yards receiving. Harrison Call helped North Cross' passing attack out by catching two balls for 57 yards.
North Cross' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Revercomb has thrown for 1541 yards and 19 touchdowns this season, while Penn Draper has 25 catches for 494 yards. Anderson leads the league in rushing with 956 yards.
The top two teams in VISFA Old Dominion will face off this week when first place Christchurch School takes on second place Virginia Episcopal School. Christchurch School defeated St. Anne's-Belfield last week, while Virginia Episcopal School bested Hargrave Military Academy.
Jamie Gaston of the Covenant is only 53 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Gaston has rushed for 947 yards on 147 carries so far this year.
North Cross made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,214 from 9,562. The improvement came about via a 46-27 victory over Dave Rocco's team last week.
