Basketball Recap: Dora Piles Up the Points Against Oak Grove

Dora won the last time they faced Oak Grove and things went their way on Thursday too. The Dora Bulldogs blew past the Oak Grove Tigers, posting a 67-29 victory. That 38 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Dora had a senior duo take command as Collin Abrom posted 13 points in addition to six assists and four steals and JP Carulli went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points Carulli has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Malik Miller, who earned eight points.

Dora smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Oak Grove still got an impressive performance from Kyler Pollistrini, who had 13 points.

The win got Dora back to even at 15-15. As for Oak Grove, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-23-1 record this season.

Dora has already played their next match, a 57-50 defeat against Fultondale on the 3rd. As for Oak Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 105-25 loss against Fairfield on the 3rd.
