Big Pine scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against Owens Valley as Big Pine made off with a 55-32 victory. That looming 55-32 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Big Pine yet this season.
Jayden Barlow and Adam Miller were among the main playmakers for Big Pine as the former scored eight points and the latter scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. Damien Hottendorf was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, Non Varsity Opponent entered their tilt with Birchwood Christian with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Non Varsity Opponent pulled ahead with a 46-45 photo finish over Birchwood Christian.
Big Pine's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 103-203-1 record this season.
Big Pine strolled past Non Varsity Opponent in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 by a score of 33-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for Big Pine since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
