With a playoff win on the line, McDonogh rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against Gerstell Academy as they made off with a 13-3 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for McDonogh and bumps their season record up to 11-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Gerstell Academy, they moved to 3-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

McDonogh has already played their next game, a 7-6 loss against Huntingtown on the 10th. As for Gerstell Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-2 victory against St. John's Catholic Prep on the 12th.
