Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Spartanburg suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were the victim of a tough 70-45 defeat at the hands of Gaffney. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Spartanburg has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Boiling Springs pushed their score all the way to 61 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 76-61 to Gaffney. While losing is never fun, Boiling Springs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Gaffney is ranked 30th).
Spartanburg are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-7. As for Boiling Springs, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
Spartanburg and Boiling Springs were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but Spartanburg came up empty-handed after a 71-70 defeat. Can Spartanburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
