Mechanicsburg has won four straight games at home, while Greeneview has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. On Wednesday, Mechanicsburg made easy work of Triad and carried off a 10-1 victory.
Mylee DeLong made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Avery McDowell, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Keelyn McGhee, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Greeneview posted their closest win since April 22, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Greenon 11-10. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Mya Simpson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Battista, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Greeneview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matchups.
Mechanicsburg has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Greeneview, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
