Softball Recap: North Port's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

North Port waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 13-8 win over the Manatee Hurricanes. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-4 back in March.

North Port got a massive performance out of Cailinne Kelly, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Elise Indico also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

North Port hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive matchups.

North Port now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Manatee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Coming up, North Port will be playing at home against Sarasota at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sailors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Bobcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Manatee, they will square off against St. Petersburg at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hurricanes are facing the Green Devils at the right time seeing as the Green Devils are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
