KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches and MaxPreps announced Thursday the ten athletes that have been named United Soccer Coaches/MaxPreps High School State Players of the Week for their on-pitch efforts from Feb. 15-21.
Results and statistics provided by MaxPreps.com are used to help recognize one boy and one girl from each participating state competing during the winter season.
Coaches wanting to nominate players must submit statistics to MaxPreps in order for their athletes to be considered. Winners receive a MaxPreps/United Soccer Coaches branded letterman's patch and recognition on both MaxPreps and UnitedSoccerCoaches.org.
Nominations are due each Sunday by 11:59 p.m. ET to be considered.

ArizonaBoysScored fourteen goals in three victories during the week.
GirlsScored eight goals and recorded two assists in two 15-0 victories over Poston Butte and Shadow Mountain.FloridaBoys
In one game throughout the week, Thorsen put on a display with five goals and three assists. GirlsIn a strong showing, Perez-Acosta recorded five goals and three assists.Louisiana
GirlsMajor showed her scoring prowess recording two goals in a 8-0 victory over Central Lafourche. North CarolinaBoysRiddle was a force to be reckoned with, recording five goals and one assist in their only match of the week. TexasBoysTeruel put a show on in as goalie with four saves, completing a shutout in their one match during the week.GirlsWith an offensive arsenal, Chairez assisted and scored on twelve goals total, with six of each.

Girls
Swearingen scored a goal along with two assists throughout their two matches of the week.
Washington
Martin served as goalkeeper for two matches throughout the week, recording nine saves and two shutouts.
