Cicero Prep Academy is a perfect 6-0 against Superior since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Centurions will venture away from home to face off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Cicero Prep Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Last Thursday, Cicero Prep Academy made easy work of Ray and carried off a 3-0 win.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cicero Prep Academy took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-6, 25-10.

Cicero Prep Academy can attribute much of their success to Grace Combs, who had 18 assists, and Nicole Damian, who hit 87.5% for seven kills and nine assists and eight aces. That's the most assists Combs has posted since back in September.
They weren't the only good servers: Cicero Prep Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Superior was able to grind out a solid victory over Valley Lutheran on Thursday, taking the game 3-1. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Flames recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Superior had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 25-15, 25-14, 27-25.
Cicero Prep Academy's record is now 20-8. As for Superior, their record now sits at 8-5.
Everything went Cicero Prep Academy's way against Superior in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Cicero Prep Academy made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Centurions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
