On Saturday, Corpus Christi United ended up a good deal behind Coastal Christian HomeSchool and lost 65-50. While losing is never fun, Corpus Christi United can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1336th, while Coastal Christian HomeSchool is ranked 472nd).
Despite the loss, Corpus Christi United still got an impressive performance from Judah Jones, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Jones also pulled down eight rebounds for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Jonker, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Corpus Christi United and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Coastal Christian HomeSchool, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing John Paul II the next time they take the court. Corpus Christi United will head out to face John Paul II at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Corpus Christi United will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m.
