After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hanks, the Ysleta Indians were happy to have found some success on Friday. They skirted past Parkland 23-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Ysleta also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Parkland saw an underclassman step up: Brissa Rubal scored nine points.
Ysleta has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-14 record this season. As for Parkland, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ysleta will take on Bel Air at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bel Air is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Parkland, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Del Valle at 7:30 p.m.
