The Duval Charter Panthers will head out to square off against the Eagle's View Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Duval Charter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Duval Charter fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Christ's Church Academy two weeks ago but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 5-2 to the Eagles. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Michael Grimaldi put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Grimaldi was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.
Grimaldi wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Cruz, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Eagle's View won against First Coast Christian on Thursday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Eagle's View put the hurt on Westside with a sharp 16-1 win. Considering the Warriors have won five contests by more than 14 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Nathan La Rosa and Jake Montgomery did most of the damage at the plate: La Rosa scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Montgomery scored two runs and stole Four bases. Camden Wiggins was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases.
Eagle's View is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. Duval Charter's record now sits at 5-3.
Eagle's View's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Duval Charter hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. It's a different story for Eagle's View, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain Duval Charter's hitters?
Duval Charter came out on top in a nail-biter against Eagle's View in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 9-7. Does Duval Charter have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eagle's View turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
