Brownstown Central is a perfect 10-0 against Salem since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Braves will welcome the Lions at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Brownstown Central has five straight victories, Salem has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

If North Harrison wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Brownstown Central, they should've done a better job of containing Finley Wheeler. The Braves put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday with plenty of help from Wheeler, who had nine digs and three aces. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 20 or more assists the last 18 times she's played.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Brownstown Central was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12, 25-10.
Brownstown Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophie Wischmeier, who had 16 kills. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Fritz, who had 11 digs and two aces.
Meanwhile, Salem came up short against New Albany on Wednesday, falling 3-0.
While Salem was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into New Albany's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-15, 25-18.
Salem's loss dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Brownstown Central, their win bumped their record up to 22-4.
Everything went Brownstown Central's way against Salem in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Brownstown Central made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Braves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
