6A Conference 2 recap November 13, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 6A Conference 2 this week, Oscar Smith beat Hickory 60-7. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
Oscar Smith took down the Hawks 60-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
TJ Boothe provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Western Branch bested King's Fork.
Boothe was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 155 yards on 23 carries as the Bruins topped Lakeland. Teammate Mondryl Glover added to the ground attack by rushing for 135 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Grizzlies' Brett Smith and Vincent Lowe have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-4 quarterback Smith has thrown for 1,025 yards this season, while Lowe has 15 catches for 310 yards. Western Branch's Glover leads the league in rushing yards with 1,335.
Richard Morgan's team led 6A Conference 2 in scoring this week by notching 60 points on Hickory.
