The Sultana Sultans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 65-41 loss at the hands of Covina. While losing is never fun, Sultana can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1118th, while Covina is ranked 397th).
Loss or not, Sultana got some senior leadership from Alec Rodriguez who scored ten points along with five rebounds and Sergio Moreno who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Sultana's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Covina, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Sultana and Calvary Chapel will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Calvary Chapel is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
