The Lake Catholic Cougars pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin. Lake Catholic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Lake Catholic lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aiden Webb. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Webb has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cross Nimmo, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Lake Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Catholic will challenge Bedford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bedford is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, they will head out on the road to take on Walsh Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
