The Rogers Rams will challenge the South Kitsap Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rogers has 12 straight wins, South Kitsap has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Rogers was able to grind out a solid victory over Olympia, taking the game 6-1.

Sierra Murray spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Payton Walling, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.
Yelm hit South Kitsap with a five-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves came up short against the Tornados, falling 12-6.
Reagan Dale made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronan Byrd, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Rogers' win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for South Kitsap, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Rogers has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .433. However, it's not like South Kitsap struggles in that department as they've averaged .453. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rogers took their win against South Kitsap in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 13-1 score. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
