Middle College got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amanze Njoku out in front who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Njoku scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Lebron Hasan, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Stella High Charter Academy's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Middle College, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Stella High Charter Academy will head out on the road to square off against Math & Science College Preparatory at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Math & Science College Preparatory knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Stella High Charter Academy likes a good challenge. As for Middle College, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New West Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
