Their offense was headlined by Leighton Grant and Paige Moyer, who picked up 14 kills apiece. They got some help from Baylor Everette and her 34 assists. Moyer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Coastal Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Hoggard, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3.
Coming up, Coastal Christian will welcome Wilmington Christian Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hoggard, they will venture away from home to challenge Topsail at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
