The Mahwah Thunderbirds are taking a road trip to take on the Pascack Hills Broncos at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Mahwah will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Mahwah's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Saturday, when they got past Dwight-Englewood's usually-dominant pitching crew. The Thunderbirds blew past the Bulldogs 16-4. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Thunderbirds this season.

Mahwah is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Pascack Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mahwah hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. However, it's not like Pascack Hills struggles in that department as they've averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mahwah came out on top in a nail-biter against Pascack Hills when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunderbirds since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
