The Valor South Austin Falcons will challenge Manor New Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Valor South Austin sitting on five straight wins and Manor New Tech on ten.
Last Friday, Valor South Austin made easy work of LBJ Austin and carried off an 18-4 victory. Considering the Falcons have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Timothy Noble made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Beck Forrester was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Silas Lenaburg, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Valor South Austin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .543 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Manor New Tech made easy work of Travis on Friday and carried off a 17-3 win. Considering Manor New Tech has won 11 matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Valor South Austin, Manor New Tech also got a great game from a two-way player: Zane Thomas. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Thomas a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Manor New Tech: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ahmad Riley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Manor New Tech's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Langham, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Manor New Tech's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Valor South Austin, their record is now 12-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Valor South Austin has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Manor New Tech struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Valor South Austin suffered a grim 10-3 defeat to Manor New Tech in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
