Enumclaw hadn't done well against Federal Way recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Hornets have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Oliver Potts, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kannius Alva, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Enumclaw always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Federal Way only posted an OBP of .292.

The victory was the third in a row for Enumclaw, bringing their record up to 10-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Federal Way, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Enumclaw will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
