 In other batting news,  Mei Shirokawa was a standout: she scored five  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Olivia Sutton, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-5.
 Central's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Jacobs, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with that  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home dating back to last season.
