Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Montgomery). They walked away with a 22-18 win over the St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs on Monday. With that victory, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Laela Shimon was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in five of her seven plate appearances. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Page, who went 4-for-6 with four runs, three doubles, and three RBI.
Montgomery lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.
