Basketball Recap: South Florence Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

South Florence had won two straight games and Allyson Watson did her part to make it three on Friday. The South Florence Bruins claimed a resounding 57-24 victory over the Augusta Christian Lions thanks in part to Watson, who posted 21 points along with eight boards and four steals. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points.

Amari Gamble was another key player, putting up five points along with nine assists and six boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Augusta Christian lost, don't look at Makenna Ellis. Despite the final result, she put up nine points. Taylor Booker was another key player, posting five points.

South Florence's record now sits at 7-2. As for Augusta Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

South Florence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 40-38 win against A.C. Flora on the 27th. As for Augusta Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-29 defeat against Walhalla on the 27th.
