Softball Recap: South Adams Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for South Adams, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 15-6 margin over the Woodlan Warriors on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Starfires, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Addie Baker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Baker was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reagan Beitler, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Reagan Bollenbacher was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

South Adams was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodlan only posted a batting average of .267.

South Adams' record is now 15-4. As for Woodlan, their loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-3.

South Adams wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-5 victory against Adams Central on the 15th. As for Woodlan, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-1 win against Southern Wells on the 15th.
