The Mt. Salus Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They fell just short of Wilkinson County Christian Academy by a score of 66-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (62), Mt. Salus Christian still had to take the loss.
JACOB SESSIONS continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wilkinson County Christian Academy, dropping a triple-double on 33 points, 24 rebounds, and ten assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points SESSIONS has scored all season. Another player making a difference was EASTON BUTEAUX, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Mt. Salus Christian's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Wilkinson County Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-15.
Mt. Salus Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wilkinson County Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Rebels at 7:45 p.m. on February 6th. Riverdale Academy is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
