The Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 49-42 victory over Fayetteville Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Harrells Christian Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Fayetteville Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Riley Duchon, who scored 23 points. That was a full 54.8% of Fayetteville Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Polly Miller, who scored 13 points.
Harrells Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Fayetteville Academy, they bumped their record down to 4-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrells Christian Academy will square off against Southeastern Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Southeastern Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 47 last Thursday. As for Fayetteville Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Kerr-Vance Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
