1A Caribou Trail recap Nov. 7, 2012
Cashmere extended the longest winning streak in 1A Caribou Trail this week by beating Lakeside, 66-9. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Bulldogs.
Cashmere took down the Eagles 66-9 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Chelan's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Michael Amsel, jr threw for 58 yards and Zach Burchett had 74 yards receiving. On the ground Kai Clausen chipped in 180 yards. Erick Oscarson helped Chelan's passing attack out by catching three balls for 29 yards.
The Mountain Goats' Luke Gleasman and Oscarson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gleasman has thrown for 475 yards this season, while Oscarson, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 19 catches for 366 yards. Jacob Durfee from Quincy leads the league in rushing with 735 yards.
Phil Zukowski's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 66 points on Lakeside.
