The Eisenhower Cadets had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southridge on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eisenhower in their matchups with Southridge: they've now lost eight in a row.
Eisenhower's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayana Gallegos, who scored 16 points. Ariana Ramos was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Eisenhower's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Southridge, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eisenhower will challenge Grandview at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Grandview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday. As for Southridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Wenatchee at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
