In what's become a running theme this season, Portland Christian gave their fans yet another huge  win on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Shawnee Golden Eagles  a   25-0 shutout. Portland Christian's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Eva Hidrogo made a splash no matter where she played. She  struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and only one walk). Hidrogo has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season. Hidrogo was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Reagan Mulvey was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and five  RBI.  Elisa Hidrogo was another key contributor,  going 1-for-1 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  RBI.
 Portland Christian's victory was  their sixth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 15.2 runs per game. As for Shawnee, they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Portland Christian will  challenge Jeffersontown at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Shawnee, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Doss at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
