The Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors won the last time they faced the Timberlake Christian Tornadoes, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Southwest Virginia Academy came out on top against Timberlake Christian by a score of 39-30. The win made it back-to-back wins for Southwest Virginia Academy.
Despite the loss, Timberlake Christian still got an impressive performance from Caelyn Davis, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her. Emma Luther was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 19 rebounds.
Southwest Virginia Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Timberlake Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwest Virginia Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Christian Heritage Academy at 3:00 p.m. on December 21st. As for Timberlake Christian, they will face off against New Covenant at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. New Covenant will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
