It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Falkner Eagles can now relate to. They lost to Smithville at home by a decisive 42-27 margin on Friday. Falkner's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Conner Dabbs had an outrageously good game for Smithville as he rushed for 203 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
Falkner's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Smithville, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.
Falkner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Smithville will head out on the road to face off against Baldwyn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
