Karns waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Coalfield Yellow Jackets 13-3. The Beavers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six runs or more this season.

Karns' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Coalfield, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-3-2.

Coincidentally, Karns and Coalfield will both be playing Wartburg Central the next time they take the field. The Yellow Jackets will head out to face the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Beavers will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
