 Scranton's victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 5-4. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Scranton Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
 Scranton might still be hurting after the  13-1 defeat they got from Scranton Prep  when the teams last played  back in May of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
