The Bridgeport Bulldogs put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Morrill for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-29 victory at home. Bridgeport has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 games by 25 points or more this season.
Bridgeport's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tacey From, who scored nine points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Loomis-goltl, who scored 19 points.
Brooklin Hess and Kinzley Hess certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Hess scored 11 points along with two steals, while Hess scored six points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Hess is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Brooklyn Brown was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds.
Morrill struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Bridgeport pushed their record up to 21-0 with that victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.2 points per game. As for Morrill, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season.
Bridgeport didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-36 victory vs. Gordon-Rushville on the 9th. Morrill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
