Patrick Henry hasn't had much luck against Napoleon recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Patriots will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 11:30 a.m.
Patrick Henry's last matchup with Liberty-Benton could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Patriots lost 15-7 to the Eagles. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mason Jardine was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Schwab, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Napoleon came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly two runs.
Cal Bickel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.
In other batting news, Parker Woods was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Napoleon pushed their record up to 16-5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Patrick Henry, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
