Stone Memorial was led to victory by Cade Capps and Brady Lane. Capps scored 28 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists, while Lane dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Capps has scored at least 25% of Stone Memorial's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Grothe, who scored 6 points along with 6 assists.
Stone Memorial's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Lenoir City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stone Memorial will take on Clarkrange at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lenoir City, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Roane County at 7:30 p.m. Roane County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 203 points over their last three games.
