Even though the Southeast Alamance Stallions scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, the Chatham Central Bears still came out on top. Chatham Central took their contest against Southeast Alamance 65-55. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chatham Central.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chatham Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reid Albright, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Albright has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Gilliland, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 19 rebounds.
Chatham Central's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Southeast Alamance, they bumped their record down to 6-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Chatham Central will square off against Bartlett Yancey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Southeast Alamance, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwood at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southeast Alamance in North Carolina (Northwood is ranked 49th, while Southeast Alamance is ranked 334th).
